Janome 2212 Review

Janome 2212 Sewing Machine

The Janome 2212 is a very reliable and simple sewing machine which makes it an excellent choice for new and intermediate sewers.

If you are not familiar with the Janome brand don't be put off, they produce sturdy reliable machines that tend to last for years.

The 12 built in stitches are performed very smoothly and accurately along with the four-step buttonholes.
The stitch patterns are easily selected by the large dials, the width and the length can also be adjusted on appropriate stitches.

Unlike many other sewing machines of the moment the 2212 has a vertical bobbin, you just have to remember to hand turn the wheel to align the needle before starting.
One advantage of the vertical bobbin is that it makes it very easy to clear jams without removing your work.

Drop feed for free motion sewing and quilting and with an almost full size work area and a throat size similar to much larger machines this is a highly recommended sewing machine.

REVIEW SUMMARY

A great value sewing machine from Janome that is great for quilting because of its large throat size.
The vertical bobbin can take some getting used to but overall this is a nice sewing machine from a repsected brand.
